My artichoke, up close and personal. Grow this on your patio and enjoy its splendor as it blooms into a beautiful thistle-like flower.

That’s beautiful! I knew artichokes were in the thistle family, but I’d never thought of growing them for their aesthetics before. Thanks!
I love artichokes, but never thought about how pretty they can make your patio or garden look!
I remember an episode of Trading Spaces where one of the designers used an artichoke as inspiration for a new kitchen design. The colors are vibrant and different — and the artichoke itself is clearly a thing of beauty. Thanks for sharing it.
Ooh, nice! I just planted one of these about two weeks ago… And half the leaves are already dead. Hope it survives and grows up to be this beautiful!
Great picture - are they edible too…?
I love artichokes, but can’t grow them here in the high desert. Fortunately, plenty get brought over the hill from California.
Beautiful!
I live in the artichoke capitol of the world on five acres. Must also be the weed capitol of the world, because the weeds choke out all my attempts at growing artichokes. Even commerical growers have crops of weeds in their fields, only they have tractors and field workers to cultivate.
My daughter has grown them successful in the weedfree back yard garden of her suburban home though.
