Nothing blew up, but things nearly blew away at a windy gathering March 14-16, 2008, for the cutting-edge home and garden design show at the Santa Monica Airport's Barker Hanger. CA Boom brings together product, landscape and interior designers; architects; writers; photographers and the design-loving public for a weekend of exhibits, lectures, book signings, parties and home tours.
The design show moves to North Carolina in the fall for CA Boom EAST. The show's eastern launch will be held October 20-26, 2008, at the Mills Village showroom complex in High Point, NC.
CA Boom EAST will be part of the fall 2008 High Point Market at the new Mills Village Complex, which is also home to the new showroom for Cisco Brothers, an L.A.-based furniture, manufacturer and retailer. Mills Village, once viewed as an eyesore in the High Point area, is now considered the most significant LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) project in the city’s and state's history.
