Mirrors in spook houses and at home haunts always add an element of surprise -- you never know what will stare back at you when you look at your image. Have one of your "actors" hide around a corner and quietly appear when people look into the mirror -- and wait for the screams. A job well done.

Take-Home Ideas: Find a thrift-store mirror with a wooden frame, preferably worn and with peeling paint. Drill holes for light bulbs, into which you insert larger C7-sized string lights. Use an old desk for the vanity, and decorate with vintage perfume bottles, makeup containers, small boxes, brushes, etc. Add a few creepy props, such as wigs or hair pieces, faux rats or crows and old costumes.
