Deck

Definition: An open area of wood flooring that can abut a house or be detached and tucked into a remote section of a property. Decks can link homes with gardens on the same or different levels. A deck on a steep slope allows a quiet retreat and makes good use of otherwise inaccessible land on a property. Decks can be made of various woods –like redwood or cedar – or composite decking material.
