What is a Fence?

Definition: Constructed with the purpose of filtering sun; obstructing wind; or quieting traffic, noisy neighbors or barking dogs. Less formal and less permanent than walls, easier to build and usually less expensive. Most cities have height restrictions for front and backyard fences. Pool and spa areas have special kinds of fences designed and installed to keep children out of harm's way.
