Halloween Outdoor Decorations: Pier 1 Imports' Giant Spiderweb

Goes along with Pier 1 Imports' other Halloween decorations, which are very design-oriented and will never require batteries. The web comes in a small bag and you don't realize its full potential until you unwind it and stretch it out in all directions. Unlike other Halloween spiderwebs, this one won't get tangled up and end up in a big unusuable mess of string. It's nice and stretchy, black, and coated with a kind of fuzzy, chenille-type material with sparkles.

Personally, I like the idea of stringing it in a corner up high, like the courtyard walls in the photo. Cast a colorful light on it, like purple, and you've got a work of art! It takes very little time to stretch out and attach to whatever you want to attach it to; use tacks, double-sided tape or a dab of glue if you want it really secure. Just don't use Super Glue.

For $10, this is one of the best bang-for-your-buck type purchases this season. It's showy, different, versatile and something you'll be able to use in the future.
